Sweet Fried Feta with Autumn Gold Honey

  • 3 Tbsp. MVH Autumn Gold Honey
  • ½ tsp. cracked black pepper
  • ½ Tbsp. thyme leaves
  • 200g block feta cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 3 Tbsp. oil


  1. Combine the honey, pepper, and thyme leaves in a small jug and set aside.
  2. Place the beaten egg in a shallow dish, and mix the panko breadcrumbs and sesame seeds in a separate shallow dish. Coat the feta in the egg, then press into the breadcrumb and seed mixture.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the feta for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Drizzle with honey mixture and serve immediately with crackers or fresh, crusty bread.
